When We Were Very Young

A book of poetry

Category – A book of poetry

Synopsis (what is it about?) – a collection of nonsense poems including poems about Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh.

What did I think? – The poems were very enjoyable and each poem was different. It was good because there was always something different about each poem.

Who else would like it – Even though it is an old book, I think other people my age would like it. It is also a good book for parents to read with their kids. Even if you have never read the Winnie the Pooh books, you would still enjoy this book.

Reviewing picture books

To keep lots of great reviews on this blog, while I’m reading some longer books I’m going to be reviewing some really cool picture books.

You might think I’m too big to read picture books, but I’m not. They are awesome with lots of great pictures and funny stories. I also read them to my cousins who are much younger than me.

I hope you enjoy my picture book reviews.

Frankie Dupont and the Mystery of Enderby Manor

AuthorJulie Anne Grasso

Frankie Dupont 1

Category – Just for fun – this doesn’t fit in any of the challenge categories, I just really like this book and wanted to review it.

Synopsis (what is it about?) – when his cousin Kat disappears from enderby manor, Frankie Dupont jumps on the scene. He follows the evidence to a six fingered chef, a talking parrot, a mad maid and a shifty dwarf, but quite frankly, none of them are making any sense until Frankie discovers Kats time is running out.

What did I think? – I thought it was a very interesting book. There were lots of twists and turns, and quirky characters. It was very enjoyable and you would never expect the ending.

Who else would like it? – People who like mystery stories and people who are late primary school.
